Fancy Schmancy Lunch
I've got a bit of an archery bug these days. I really want to try out a good recurve bow and see how it treats me, even though it has been years since I've done the sport. So with a plan in mind, Kim and I were going to go to Golden Gate Park today, picnic lunch in tow, and shoot at the range.
But alas, it was not to be. Kim was feeling a little low on energy, and my late start on the day meant that we wouldn't be out there until 1-2pm anyway, so we quickly changed plans to get a bite to eat. And, mulling some choices over, I agreed with her that Samovar Tea Lounge sounded like a good option.
This particular restaurant has a nice quiet eastern atmosphere, and really yummy food at relatively reasonable prices (considering the style of the place). We both had tasty chais and shared a plate of fruit, cheese, and honeycomb.
Floor-to-ceiling windows looked out on a multitude of colorful planted flowers and the clear blue sky over Yerba Buena Gardens.
The temperature was perfect, too. An excellent way to spend the mid-day!
